Despite the much hyped "#3" position Mariah Carey 'only' got on the UK Charts her American fan base haven't let the 'Bye Bye' singer down.Mimi's current album 'E=MC2' has, as predicted, landed on Billboards #1 album spot. The Diva sold 463, 000 copies in its first week. 59, 000 more than her last effort 'The Emancipation Of Mimi'. 'E=MC2' is Mariah's highest first week sales of her career. She's at the top of her game, knocking out Leona Lewis from the top spot.
Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Madonna now, each, have had 6 albums land in the #1 spot. Barbara Streisand claims tops spot with her 8 number one albums.
