Leona Lewis To Break Records?

U.K's  'Better In Time' singer Leona Lewis is set to break a record this week. If her debut album 'Spirit' reaches number 1 on the billboard albums chart she will be the first British female artist to ever debut an album at the number 1 spot in US charts. Producers Clive Davis and Simon Cowell will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Congrats to the singer. Her single 'Bleeding Love' was the first number 1 single from a British singer/act since 1987's 'You Keep Me Hanging On' cover of the Supremes by Kim Wilde.

It's thought that 'Spirit' has sold 205, 000 copies the most from a female artist since Carrie Underwood's 2005 release of 'Some Hearts' which sold 314, 500 copies in it's first week.

Leona Lewis' US Takeover

Update:
UK songbird Leona Lewis has officially taken over America. Her single 'Bleeding Love' is up from 8 to the #1 spot on the Billboard hot 100 songs. Lewis has also appeared on Oprah's show. She's hit the big time. I'll be interested to see if her second single 'Better In Time' can do as good as 'Bleeding Love'. I think it was obvious that this song was going to hit it big in America. Good on her! [p.s sorry about the mis-information on previous post]
