The Journey Ends For Jason Castro

The dreadlocked singer, Jason Castro, from American Idol has been eliminated as predicted. The show is now left with only 3 singers, Syesha, David Cook and David Archuleta. In my opinion it's still a David Vs. David finale but I'd like to see Syesha go further.

Check out Jason's final performances.

The Journey Ends For Brooke White

This week's idol cast-off was Brooke White. After performing two songs from the Neil Diamond catalogue "I'm A Believer" and "I Am, I Said" the singer was voted off by the American Public. Syesha was also in the bottom two and is tipped to leave next week. Leaving Jason and the two David's left. In my opinion is going to be a David Vs David final. What do you think?

Check out these videos of Brooke's final performances.

The Journey Ends For Carly Smithson

After her performance of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' last night on American Idol it was Irish Wannabe Carly Smithson who was eliminated from the talent show. Check out her performance from the Andrew Lloyd Webber show below.

She had a great voice, but I have to agree with Simon in that sadly this years contestants are lacking the personality. What do you think?

Leona Lewis On American Idol

As previously reported Leona Lewis was on American Idol last night performing her worldwide hit 'Bleeding Love' check out her stunning performance. What did you think?

Idol Does Lloyd Webber

With 3 girls and 3 guys left, this weeks American Idol mentor is musical theatre legend Andrew Lloyd Webber. The mastermind behind "Evita", "The Phantom Of The Opera", "Cats" and many many more. So which contestant will be leaving? I'm guessing Jason will find this week the hardest. Still I'm looking forward to seeing how it's all going to go down.

The Journey Ends For Kristy Lee Cook

American Idol hopeful Kristy Lee Cook has been eliminated from the competition. The night of Mariah Carey songs where Kristy performed 'Forever' American fans have decided to send her home. Leaving six idols left to battle it out for the title. Check out her performance below.

As sad as it is to see someone go home, I think almost everyone could see this one coming, eventually.

Spears Donates $25, 000 to 'Idol Gives Back'

Britney Spears has reportedly given $25,000 (after running it past her Dad first of course, seeing as he runs her money at the moment) to 'Idol Gives Back', according to Life And Style Magazine. The 'Piece Of Me' singer apparently cried for two hours after watching the show and decided to google the word malaria and was horrified when she found out African's were dying from insect bites. Is this yet another sign the singer is back on the mend fo' real?

Overnight 'Idol Gives Back' rasied $22 million dollars and still hope to reach the $100 million dollar mark!

The Journey Ends For Michael Johns

After this weeks 'Idol Gives Back' and singing their own songs that inspire them. It's Michael Johns who leaves American Idol. Hmmmmm do you agree with the American public?

She is said to be singing Carrie Underwood's 'Before He Cheats' with fellow DHW actor James Denton. In Other Idol Gives Back news, Ellen Degeneres has dropped out from hosting the show due to "personal production pressure".

The Journey Ends For Ramiele

After the remaining 9 contestants sang their hearts out to Dolly Pardon songs, it was Ramiele Malubay that was booted this week. In my opinion she was the worst of the night and deserved to go home. My favourite for the night would have to be David A.

Dolly This Weeks Idol Mentor

This week the American Idol top 9 will be performing songs from the Dolly Pardon catalogue. The Country star will also be on hand to coach them and help them with their song choices. Some obvious choices are "9 'til 5" and "I Will Always Love You". Can you picture Jason singing "Jolene"? lol!

In a recent interview the star said "To tell someone that they are good or they are bad or they stink or they suck, I couldn't handle that". In other words don't expect her to be a Mr Cowell wannabe. Other mentors for this season include Mariah Carey and Andrew Loyd Webber.

On the results show Dolly will be performing material from her recent CD 'Backwoods Barbie'. You can purchase the CD from Amazon now.

The Journey Ends For Chikeze

This weeks fallen Idol is Chikeze. I'm not too surprised by the decision, he did pick an awful song. I was surprised to see Syesha in the bottom 2. Did you agree with the decision?

We're already down to the top 10. And this weeks theme? Well the remaining contestants will be singing songs from the year that they were born. Interesting. It has to be better than a third round of McCartney/Lennon tunes. To see which contestant is singing what click here ....

The journey ends for Amanda Overmyer

This weeks American Idol castoff is Amanda Overmyer. I'm not sure this was the right choice I thought the Rocker had mad vocals, her top 12 week studio recording of 'You Can't Do That' could be a hit today in my opinion. I'm sure we will be seeing more of Amanda in the future!

The top 11 American Idols take the stage tonight for 'Beatles Night', personally I'm over the Lennon/McCartney songs but Fox seems to be milking them for all they're worth.
