High School Musical 3 Begins

Walt Disney's money-making franchise 'High School Musical' today begins shooting it's third installment. Originally slated as a Halloween themed TV movie the film currently titled 'High School Musical 3: Senior Year" centers around Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) in their final year of High School struggling with dealing of seperating for college. So they decide to stage a spring musical about their experiences and hopes for the future.

All the original cast are back and this time around includes a stint by Lindsay's little sister Ali Lohan. Directed by Kenny Ortega (same director as previous 2 films) and written by Peter Barsocchini the film is expected to be released via Disney on October 28th in the US.
